Divemaster is the entry point to working in diving. You develop professional-level skills, dive theory, and the ability to supervise certified divers, assist instructors with students, and guide certified-diver activities. It is the longest recreational program, often run as an extended course or internship at a dive center or liveaboard.
With a Divemaster rating you can be employed as a dive guide worldwide and continue toward Instructor. For many people it is the point where a hobby becomes a livelihood, and the reason dive operators are so often hiring.
